JERASH

Jerash was a fantastic collection of Roman ruins, about 45 minutes by bus from Amman.
The bus cost about 25 pence to get there and about 5 pence to get back!

Hadrian's Arch was the main entrance to the site.

The Oval Plaza and Colonnaded Street were particular highlights.

There were 2 ampitheatres here, and I am standing at the front of the Southern one.

It was quite hot, but shorts are not allowed in most places!

The next day we visited the Desert Castles to the East of Amman.
